Importing Motor Vehicles Into Fiji - For Travellers |
|
Shipping companies and Customs Agents will usually provide arrival papers when the time your vehicle is imported. Some freight forwarders/Customs brokers or Customs Agents will also assist you with the Customs formalities. If you are completing the Customs formalities yourself, it is recommended that you make an appointment with your local Customs office.

Documents Required On The Time Of Custom Control |

1. the quarantine/agriculture clearance.
|
|
2 your passport.
|
|
3. invoice receipt showing total price paid and date of purchase.
|
|
4. registration papers or Certificate of Permanent Export (UK), Certificate of Title (USA), or De-registration Certificate ( Japan ).
|
|
5. invoice showing export costs ( Japan ).
|
|
6. invoice showing freight costs and insurance to Fiji .
|
|
7. Bill of Lading.
|
|
8. odometer reading at time of sale for export to Fiji .
|
|
9. odometer reading at time of importation into Fiji .
|
|
After Customs clearance, the vehicle should be presented to a Lands Transport Authority (LTA) agent for inspection and a compliance audit for certification for registration.

Requirement On The Vehicle Delivery Time |
|
1. arrange an agricultural clearance for the vehicle through Quarantine department of Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

|
2. arrange for a Customs clearance.
|
|
|
